Every one of us is background-checked, identity-verified under the Threshold Standard, and sent to your door by name and photo before we arrive. No surprises, no mystery tech at your doorstep. Just people who fix air conditioners and furnaces for a living, and take it seriously.

Our People
Devin Marlowe, Owner
Devin has been in HVAC since 2003, when he started as an apprentice and got handed every crawlspace job nobody else wanted. He’s the one who answers the phone half the time and shows up to the call the other half. His specialty is diagnostics, specifically the kind where three other people already tried and couldn’t find it. Devin writes every job estimate himself and won’t let a technician start work until the number is on paper and signed. He’d rather explain a thermostatic expansion valve for five minutes than have you wonder what you paid for after the truck leaves. Off the clock, he restores old motorcycles and has a dog named Compressor. That last part is true.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has twelve years in residential HVAC, the last six focused on AC repair across Jacksonville’s historic districts where the homes are beautiful and the ductwork is whatever happened ninety years ago. He holds his EPA Section 608 certification for refrigerant handling and knows Carrier, Trane, and Goodman systems inside and out. Marcus is the guy we send when a system keeps tripping its breaker and nobody can figure out why. He keeps a notebook of every difficult diagnostic he’s solved, written in pencil, because he says heat doesn’t mix with ink. He’ll also fix a squeaky screen door if he notices it, which is the kind of thing we don’t train but never discourage.
Elena R., Senior Installer
Elena leads our install crews and has a background in sheet metal work before she moved into full HVAC installation eight years ago. She’s the one measuring, cutting, and fitting duct transitions by hand so the new system actually moves air the way the load calculation says it should. Elena is factory-trained on Daikin, Lennox, and Rheem equipment and handles most of our furnace-to-heat-pump conversion jobs. She’s particular about cleanup, which means your hallway floor looks the same when we leave as when we arrived. Weekends, she’s usually fishing somewhere south of town or building furniture she doesn’t have room for.
Dana W., Service Coordinator
Dana is the voice on the other end of the phone when you call at 2 a.m. because your AC died on the hottest night of July. She’s been coordinating HVAC schedules for six years and has a mental map of every Jacksonville neighborhood from Arlington to Ortega, which means she can tell you roughly how long the drive will take before she even checks the dispatch screen. Dana makes sure you get the technician’s name and photo before the visit, and she’s the one who calls if traffic pushes the window back fifteen minutes. She tracks every job through to completion and follows up after repairs to confirm the system held. If you ever want a detailed explanation of why we schedule windows the way we do, she’ll give you one, and you’ll agree with her by the end of it.
Chris P., Apprentice Technician
Chris is in year two of his apprenticeship and does the work nobody sees until it matters: filter changes on maintenance visits, drain line flushes, capacitor inspections, and the hundred small tasks that keep a system from failing in August. He’s studying for his EPA certification and rides with Marcus on most repair calls, learning diagnostics by watching and asking questions, which he does constantly. Chris grew up in Jacksonville and worked irrigation before this, so he’s used to being outside in the heat and doesn’t complain when the attic hits 130 degrees. He brings a notebook too, which Marcus considers a good sign.
One Standard, Every Job
Every Brandt HVAC Co Jacksonville location operates the same way, and this one is no exception. The Threshold Standard means we don’t just say a technician is qualified, we prove it before they ever ring your doorbell. Every tech we send is background-checked and identity-verified, and you’ll always know who’s coming before they arrive, with a name, a photo, and a badge to match. Written pricing happens before any work starts, on every job, with no exceptions. Written guarantees happen on every repair, stating exactly what’s covered and for how long. The 365-Day Done Right Promise backs it all up: if a repair fails, we return free of charge. Phones are answered by a live person, twenty-four hours a day, every day, because when your air conditioning fails in a Jacksonville summer, that’s not a scheduling problem. It’s a health and comfort emergency. We treat it that way. This location is independently owned and operated, which means the crew you see here is the crew responsible for your home. We like it that way. We’re easy to fire, and we intend to make that a bad idea.
Why It Matters
The name Brandt comes from an old word for a firebrand, a burning piece of wood that carries heat and fire from one place to another. That’s the job description in a word. Moving heat out of your house in the summer, and into it in the winter. It’s not glamorous work, and most of it happens in attics and closets where nobody wants to look. But when the system is running right, you don’t think about us at all, and that’s exactly how we want it. When it isn’t running, we want you to know exactly who to call and who’s going to show up.
Call (904) 456-0205 any time, day or night, and you’ll get a real person on the line. Usually Dana. Sometimes Devin. Never a recording.
